Default Mary Cooper

I was watching the most recent episode of Young Sheldon where Sheldon was being considered as a full time student if his dad would coach football and Georgie got his first job at the sporting goods store owned by Missy's Little League coach. All this caused Mary to have a major meltdown and take things away from the kids.

To me, I find Mary bossy, controlling, overprotective and overly religious. Anybody think so?

Did you ever watch the mother show (The Big Bang Theory), the personality traits you describe are completely consistent with the characterization of the older Mary Cooper.

I have been a Big Bang fan for years and I do know that the older Mary Cooper was a devout Christian. Laurie Metcalf played that role so well.

I second this. I can't count the number of times that I have wanted to shake her and ask, "Do you know even know how to pick one battle?"

God bless you always!!!

Well, if the show goes on another season, Sheldon will go to college because in Big Bang he said he went to college when he was 11, so the side characters in the high school will be dropped. George Senior can take the college football job (and maybe take the black coach as an assistant).
