Default Beaver's Dance

I really got a kick out of Larry in this one. Tells the Cleavers he had to change his underwear. Watching Larry get on the horse was too funny. Also love how he had bologna sandwiches in his pockets and the way he did that bow. All very funny. “Even the cookies are crumby.”

I guess even if the boys cleaned up they still smelled like Nicholas. Instead of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly they were more like Rowdy Yates and Gil Favor.

In the beginning when Beaver said he returned a dead goldfish through the mail did you see Ward’s face?

I liked the line, "Let's just let's not go." (B Ans. - "We can't just let's not let's not go.")

And Beaver looks at his hunk of bologna and slaps it around, presumably to get the dust and dirt off.

Also Beaver "having the pleasure" of asking Mrs. Prescott to dance. And then they show him staring into her (ahem) as they're dancing.

I missed the beginning for some reason. At the end they could have had Mrs. Mondello there, waiting, since the boys were probably late. Then she could have given him another shove as they were leaving, ala Larry Runs Away. "Why do you always do these things when your father is in Cincinnati?"

Oh, and the Larry changing his underwear line was right after Wally yells downstairs, "Mom's diggin' the dirt out of his ears." "Thank you, Wally."

Also did you notice Mrs. Mondello pushing Larry into the Clever house. Larry says she was pushing him all the way up to the door. Those two were hilarious together without trying to be.

Oh, yeah, saw that too. Maybe his sister was out in the car, in curlers.

Mrs. Mondello/Larry were a great pair. Dad, you can stay in Cincinnati--we didn't need you!

I think we've mentioned this before but wasn't it convenient that box happened to be right there near the stairway, tall enough and sturdy enough for both of them to use to get up on the horse?

Connelly and Mosher must have liked Karen Sue Trent's acting in this episode, since they eventually created the Penny role for her. I think this "was" Penny, since the later character makes comments about being in horse shows (or something like that). Also, maybe this appearance accelerated their plan to get rid of Jeri Weil.

Karen Sue Trent became Penny just like the kid buying the igloo bar from Wally became Chuckie.

Before she became Penny she had no name and was just a girl in Beaver and Ivanhoe and had a bigger part in Beaver’s Team. Don’t think she had a name but gave away his football play, Old 98.

I can't remember if she's called by name in the Old 98 episode or not. On IMBb they have her as a named character in both Beaver and Ivanhoe and Beaver's Team. On Beaver's Dance she's Cowgirl.

One thing I'm pretty sure of, is that in Beaver and Ivanhoe, I think she's unnamed. Not quite so sure in Beaver's Team.

Yup they gave her the name Penny Woods in both episodes so they were considering her to be a semi-regular character on the show.

Just found this as to why Karen left the business. TV Banter.....According to IMDb, she sustained injuries in her very last role on The Rifleman, when her Lorrie character sinks in quicksand. IMDb speculates that the experience "ultimately soured her desire to keep performing."

Well, Beaver's Team is on today. She's definitely named Penny in this one. Beaver and I think Richard use her name.

In Beaver and Ivanhoe Penny’s brother is Bobby Beakman called Harold. In Beaver’s Team that kid with Richard is Bobby Beakman called Harry but not her brother.

In The Hero Judy looked so big she could barely fit in the desk. Was this her last episode?

Yeah she looked so much older than Whitey. I think this was her last.
