I have a lot of questions that need to be answered If everybody could help to answer some of them, It would be greatly apprieciated!
We all know some shows have to leave when the new shows arrive in August are any going to be replaced? Because That is a pretty big block of shows! Why is TV Land leaning towards the 80's with all there 80's shows ex. Square Pegs, Perfect Strangers, Just the Ten of Us etc., Is TV Land going to be tranformed? Are they going to ever re-contracs any other shows ex. Mr. Ed, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres etc.? Will it loose viewers, or gain viewers, tell me what you think about these topics and more! |

The three shows I think are leaving in August are "Get Smart", "The Munsters", and "The Dick Van Dyke Show." I don't want them to go, but I think they are gonna go.

Since N @ N is the 80's station now, I wish they would keep the 80's shows over there and let tvland just stay from 50's to the 70s.

Hmm. Well, I think they need to do away with the constant different airings of shows. I think when MOST networks do constant airings, they are just fillers until more programming is available, and I have a feeling, if all these 80s shows will be seen on a regular basis, then TVLand HOPEFULLY will do away with the constant airings. I'd bet a lot of the "new" shows will be added to Twice as Nice... Just a thought.
EXAMPLES OF CONSTANT RE-AIRINGS Happy Days 8:00am & 5:00pm (Twice as Nice) Leave It To Beaver 10:00am, 6:00pm (Twice as Nice) & 10:30pm The Beverly Hillbillies 11:30am & 11:00pm I Love Lucy 9:00am & 9:00pm (I hope they keep airing these, LOL) The Andy Griffith Show 11:00am & 10:00pm Gilligan's Island 4:00pm (Twice as Nice); 11:30pm Batman 7:00pm (Twice as Nice); 4:00am (Back-To-Back) Gunsmoke 6:00am & 12:00pm Anyway, I think a lot of those constant re-airings will be gone What MIGHT Leave (or be moved to a different time slot) The Munsters (I hope not); Gunsmoke (It airs several times, so they may cut it back); Get Smart; Leave it to Beaver (I doubt it) |

I hope they don't turn into an 80's station, I just don't care for the 80's, I hate the clothes, and the music and a lot of the shows from that era. I don't know why I feel that way I just do. I prefer the 60's and the 70's anyday over the 80's I actually like 60's and 70's era clothes and music, and shows too.

They will NEVER spend the time and money on shows like "Lush Crap", "Holding the Crap", "Crappies", and "Party Crap." They are just not worth the time when they could air shows from 50 years ago that people remember. I bet a 20 year old woman would take an episode of Lucy over and episode of "Party Girl." Whatever you see in those shows you supposedly "saw," I'm 10000000000000000000000000000000000% TVLand won't even give them the light of day, or the edge of night. Now I think should stick to showing shows from 1950-1985. They can show shows from 1985-1995, but for only on occasion, like Box Sets or Sunday Bests. The sked should have shows that people actually remember. Lucy, Beaver, Munsters......they are all shows people remember from their childhood or from syndicated reruns. |

I really really hope "Leave It To Beaver" Does go. I can't understand why they would put it on at 6:00, 6:30, & 10:30 and then put on "Barney Miller" once buried at 2:30 AM...

It's a tough call but I think some of those Screen Gems shows have a bigger chance of leaving the schedule than anything. Donna Reed may stay awhile, but The Monkees, The Flying Nun, Dennis the Menace and Gidget probably will be ousted soon. Also, Taxi, Barney Miller seem to have a good chance of leaving.
I wish, The Andy Griffith Show would leave. |
