Default Twelve-Thirty

It has been about twelve years since I first became a member of this community. In the beginning, I would post thread after thread about my fascination with the third-season episode "Samantha's Protest". Several times, I got lectured about having beaten that topic into the ground. In any case, it has been at least two years since I have posted anything here about that episode. One of the reasons for this is that I got tired of being lectured. On top of that, my mind has been in other places in the recent past. In any event, at twelve-thirty tomorrow afternoon, something that I associate with that episode is going to happen. On the New Jersey branch of METV, they will be showing the fifth-season "Brady Bunch" episode "The Snooperstar". In among my former posts about "Samantha's Protest", I have written about how I find the outcome of the secondary plot of this episode to be very similar to the outcome of the "Snooperstar". If anyone here has not read my previous threads and is wondering why I think that these episodes are similar, he/she is more than welcome to send me a private message asking me about it. I will be more than happy to explain to that person what I am on about.

I will also be watching The Brady Bunch Brunch before the football games. "Hair Brained Scheme" is also on. Robert Reed hated that episode and refused to be a part of it. It was a silly episode, the last episode of the series actually.

BTW, I already know why you compare "Snooperstar" to "Samantha's Protest." Sorry, but I don't see any similarities. But I'm glad you enjoy both shows.

You say that you do not see any similarities between the two episodes that I compared. In the "Snooperstar" Cindy had ambition to become the new Shirley Temple. In "Samantha's Protest" Katie had ambition to get asked out by the handsome boy from the protest. In both cases, the girls' ambition amounted to nothing. What makes you say that they are not similar. By the way, in my opinion, both girls got what they deserved to acting the way that they did in those particular episodes.

Snooperstar: Main plot: A sneaky girl who reads her sister's diary without permission aspires to be an actress/singer/dancer like Shirley Temple. She is tricked into believing that she is wanted by big wigs to be the new Shirley Temple.

Samantha's Protest: Main plot: Samantha and the rest of the employees protest about the historical site that they work at being torn down in order to replace it with a Mexican restaurant.
The part about Katie flirting with the boy who asks out Sam is just an after thought that really doesn't have anything to do with the plot.

The episodes are nothing alike, but you think they are so it's whatever. Anyway, both episodes were good.
