No way! But a popular book on the Bewitched series claims just that. That Susan Dey should have played Tabitha in he late 70's series of the same name. All I can say is: HUH!?!

If you're referring to Bewitched Forever by Herbie J Pilato, no, it didn't say that. It does say that Susan Dey played Tabitha in an unsold pilot for a TV series, "Tabatha" (with an A), and from what I've heard, it was awful.
The second pilot, "Tabitha" (with an I), starring Lisa Hartman in the title role, was much better and DID sell. Hartman looks a lot more like Liz Montgomery than Dey does. Recently it was part of TVLAND's "Kitschen", but that was only for this month.

Lisa Hartman was perfect as Tabitha. Too bad the scripts weren't better, though. |

hi,
There was a facial simalarity in that both Sue and Liz had long narrow faces. Clef chins turnedup waspy noses. Although I think Sues was slightly pug. Let's face it Liz was a natural beauty in the class of Grace Kelly. While I'd say Susan was attractive. Certainly not in a Liz class. None had Liz's face. Certainly in a class by herself. |

I heard that Susan Dey was offered the role in the Tabitha series which eventually was played by Lisa Hartman, but SD turned it down (wise move). To tell the truth, I don't see any similarity between SD & EM, either.
