Perhaps you remember turning on the TV and seeing commercials for Ronco products starring the commercial king himself Ron Popeil. Since his first commercial debuted for the Ronco Dial-O'Matic which introduced the popular catchphrase "it slices it dices" Ron Popeil has become a huge superstar in the commercial world and with such products such as the classic Mr. Microphone with it's classic commercial that featured guys riding a convertible waving their Mr. Microphones to attract their crush's attention to the famous Ronco Showtime oven commercial which introduced the catchphrase "set it and forget it." I don't think Ron Popeil will ever show signs of slowing down and keep making more products with the most exciting commercials ever

Hi, Bestie! 'It slices, it dices, it makes julienne fries! But wait! There's more!" I loved the Ronco commercials. My favorite product was the pocket fisherman. What was yours?

That set it and forget phrase became so famous his studio audience would shout it whenever he started saying it.

I just looked him up on Wiki and he's 84 now, so I guess he's retired.

In June of last year, Ronco filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and the company was liquidated.

Ronco also tried to market music collections as well with the Ronco Records label. The Ronco commercial I remember was for the Ronco Pasta Maker and I thought it was amazing how the Ronco Pasta Maker would make homemade pasta noodles come out of the built-in hole right into the dinner plate. My teacher used to have a Ronco Pasta Maker that we would use in our baking classes and watching that machine make homemade pasta was so cool
