Default Worse TV married couple

Bob Newhart and any of TV wives after Suzanne Pleshette
Joe and Rhoda (Morgenstern) Gerald - Rhoda
Sam and Ann (Romano) Royer - One Day At A Time
Dick (Dick Van Dyke) and Jenny Preston - The New Dick Van Dyke Show
Philip and Maggie McKennon Drummond - Different Strokes (Personally Conrad Bain was more compatible with Dixie Carter than Mary Ann Mobley)
Mike and Carol Brady- Too damn perfect
Dr. and Mrs. Howser - Doogie Howser MD (Personally they looked as though they would not give each other the time of day in real life)

I agree. I liked Dixie Carter a whole lot better than Mary Ann Mobley. And just one little correction, Maggie's name was McKinney

My candidate for the worst television couple would have to be Al and Peg Bundy of "Married ... with Children".

(Dis)Honorable mention go to Homer and Marge Simpson ("The Simpsons"), Archie and Edith Bunker ("All in the Family"), Peter and Lois Griffin ("The Family Guy"), and Roseanne and Dan Conner ("Roseanne").

I would pick Mary Hartman and her husband (forgot his name), Archie and Edith Bunker, and Al and Peg Bundy.

I agree with you about Peg and Al although I always felt Peg loved Al, Al just hated her he wouldn't even touch her.

But I disagree with you about Roseanne and Dan although they fought very much you could always tell they loved eachother espeically in the last episode.

Joe and Rhoda
Phillip and Maggie Drummond (both versions of Maggie)
Mrs. Garrett and "that guy from Soap"
Nanny Fine and Mr. Sheffield

You cant really say Peggy and Al were the worst married couple because... well thats how the show was suppose to be! it wasnt like they made the show to show an passionate couple, so u cant really count them as anything.

Perfection is, to me, one of the qualities I look for in a television couple. Television today needs more perfect couples like the Bradys, as well as the Cleavers, Nelsons, Stones (not Rolling Stones, mind you!), and Waltons.

Oh, and back to the subject of the worst couple, how could I forget to mention Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne? Chalk up one more for (Dis)Honorable Mention!

Even though I was a fan of "Coach" Christine Armstrong was a character I never could stand. The show should have solely focused on Hayden's coaching and his buddies Luther Van Dam, Dauber Dybinski, etc. I may be a fan of family-oriented shows, but "Coach" is sort of an exception. IMHO Hayden should have stayed single and hung out with his coaching pals.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject I thought Luther should NEVER have proposed to Doris Sherman (who owned the Orlando Breakers). I saw the episode where Luther and Doris were at a table, Luther couldn't get up, only to be faking and handed Doris a ring. Awful, awful, awful!

Cool

As much as I love Wings, I think it was a big mistake to have Joe and Helen get married. They were horrible as a married couple and it really ruined the show, IMHO.

Also, I don't care for Apu and Manjulia (sp) on The Simpsons.
