How the heck do you get avators that you download or something? HELP!!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok people out there who are willing to help me out--

I have NO CLUE

about how to get an aveator(spelled?)!! I want one of the Maryland Terp basketball symbols but i dont know how to make it small and download it or whatever it is that you have to do to get one! Could someone PLEASE tell me how to do this step by step? Thanks!!

Well Find the pic you want as your avatar, download it, then open it in paint, Once in paint, go to edit select all, then there will be little boxes along the border click those and hold the button and move the mouse towards the pic and it will resize it and make it smaller.... Then click Image at the top then attributes, then make sure pixels is selected and then it will tell you the height and width in Pixels...... Keep resizing it till the height and width pixels are both under 125, Then save it, go into the control panel, and there should be a thing that says add your own avatar and then it lets you pick a file on ur comp to be ur avatar, do that and just pick that file you saved of the pic you resized... hopefully I helped...
