I saw a logo for a television production company called The Program Exchange and I would like to know more about them. The Program Exchange was best known for producing sitcoms to game shows and even cartoons and were owned by Saachi and Saachi Inc. Is The Program Exchange still producing shows today or did they go broke?

According to Wikipedia, they went defunct in 2016. Here’s a brief excerpt about them:
"The Program Exchange was a "barter syndicator," distributing programming on behalf of the shows' producers, many of them having their own cash distribution services. Instead of paying a cash fee, television stations who ran those programs agreed to a barter exchange (hence the syndicator name), wherein the station agreed to air a certain number of commercials for various General Mills products per program. This arrangement allowed for the programs to air on stations that may not have large budgets to acquire them." I remember years ago seeing their logo after "The Addams Family" and "Dennis the Menace". |

Didn't The Program Exchange also co-produce the English version of Sailor Moon along with DIC Animation Studios? Because if my memory is correct The Program Exchange tried very hard to bring Sailor Moon to American TV and tried to keep DIC Animation Studios from cancelling Sailor Moon through a group of fans called Save Our Sailors
Thank you so much The Logo Man you are truly a treasure trove of knowledge Bestie |
