Default Make Me Laugh

If you liked game shows with fun and humor and the chance to laugh till you throat gets sore you probably enjoyed Make Me Laugh. Originally a game show from the 1970's Make Me Laugh was a fun game show that featured a panel of comedians which varied on each episode trying to make a contestant laugh through a series of jokes and various expressions and the contestant who got to laugh the most won the game. In 1997 Comedy Central revived Make Me Laugh this time with the late Ken Ober which featured the same gameplay with a few minor changes in this version. Also an interesting fact to know about Make Me Laugh is that one of the comedians who got their start was a nice fellow that may be familiar to everybody by the name of Howie Mandel before landing his breakthrough role on St. Elsewhere and now appears on America's Got Talent and Deal Or No Deal. Before Drew Carey hit it big with Whose Line Is It Anyway Make Me Laugh paved the way for a new breed of comedy game shows. It's a shame you don't see comedy game shows like Make Me Laugh anymore because they are fun to watch

Bestie
I totally agree about the 70's Bobby Van hosted "Make Me Laugh", I was an original watcher and proudly have two episodes in my game show collection from USA Network where is last was rerun. Enjoyed your thread starter!

Hi, Bestie! I never saw this game show. But it sounds good. Maybe they will bring it back. It would be fun to see comedians try to make people laugh. Who do you think would be a good host for the show?
