Smile my favorite episodes

i can't decide on just one-so i'll mention all three-#1-Edith's menopause,#2 Archie eats poison mushrooms, #3 Edith's cousin Oscar dies upstairs. These have been the funniest episodes I have ever seen. If you count the laughs-per-minute on All In The Family, it's incredibly high. It's by far my all time favorite show.

My favorite episode is the one when Archie and Mike each have different versions of what happened when the repairmen came to fix the refridgerator. The scene when Archie comes through the door mad at the world is a classic, and his version when he was sickening sweet almost had me crying with laughter.

I can't tell you what my favorite episode is
but I will tell you one of the episodes that
had me in stitches was when Archie's cousin
Oscar died in their attack. Archie said he sat on his face as a kid and wanted him out
of his house. My favorite scene was when Archie was on the phone with another cousin
to ask for help with his funeral and he said
"What do you mean possesion is 9/10th's of the law"? I laughed so hard,I cried!!

Another one of my favorites is when his buddy
Stretch Cunningham died and he had to deliver the eulogy and he did not know that
Stretch was Jewish! It was so hilarious!!
What a classic!!

Hey,Amy,that episode where Archie found out at the funneral that his longtime co-worker was Jewish was the last episode of the 1977-78 season...and would have made a good last episode for the entire series. Here was an extremely bigoted man finding out that one of his pals was a member of a race that's a huge object of prejudice.

Stretch was a joker, but he was smart enough not to let Archie know his religon-and as a result they were always friends.
