Sounds like we can't expect a reboot anytime soon

Katherine Helmond you can argue, was really the "glue" that held the show together. So any attempt to do Who's the Boss without the Mona character would make the show feel like an "empty shell" of itself.
Plus, why does Alyssa desperately want to do a revamped version of WTB anyway? I don't think shows should by revived (I don't like the term "reboot" because that to me, means that you're going to use an entirely new cast and interpretation) unless it truly as something new and interesting to say. The only thing that I can read into this is that Sam is now a single mom (either she and Hank got divorced in the interim or she's a widow) like Angela on the original series and Tony comes back to help take care of his grandkids. It would be different if Sam like Angela, hired a complete stranger to be her housekeeper. But even then, a premise like the one on WTB isn't exactly "groundbreaking" or ahead of the curb anymore like it may have been back in 1984. |

She could be a widow, but since Tony doesn't want to do one without Katherine Helmond, it sounds like it will not happen. |
