Default Who here still smokes cigarettes, cigars, or a pipe? Even rarely?

I'm what you call a VERY light smoker and smoke maybe around a pack a WEEK! I also take several days off and some weeks I don't smoke AT ALL. I sometimes go WEEKS without smoking.

But when I smoke I like Ligett and Newport menthols as well as Full flavor Camel 99s, Marlboro Virginia Blend, & Benson & Hedges. I also some smoke those little Djarum clove cigars sometimes.

I smoke cigars and a pipe even more rarely like a few times a year. In case you're wondering I had my lungs checked and they're PERFECT!I

What about you all?

I've been smoking cigars since I was around 17-18 as my dad was a cigar smoker around the same age and got me into them. Like you, I can go for weeks or months at a time without smoking. I've never been into cigarettes, I've tried them and never cared for it.

My favs are Camacho (Connecticut wrap), Partagas, Monte Cristo, CAO, Gurkha. I don't like them too strong, like the maduro, and prefer the more mild type of smoke.

For flavored cigars I like Tatiana, ACID (by Drew Estate), Havana Honeys, and the cheap Black & Mild's. I like the B&M's as they're pipe tobacco. I also smoke the Djarum cloves and enjoy the Black, Vanilla, and Special.

I also go to hookah lounges on occasion. It sometimes gets too overwhelming with all of the different scents in one room, so I have to step out for a bit.

I have never smoked and never will. I think it's disgusting, all of it. I lost two family members within a week of each other to smoking and an office manager within 8 months of his lung cancer diagnosis.

Just picked up some Marlboro 100s Special Blend and Decade full flavor. However I've still not opened either & haven't smoked in days.

In addition to being a VERY light smoker I'm also an exercise fanatic & love weightlifting & do it regularly. It keeps you young, healthy, fights obesity, helps digestion, greatly improves your mood, & gives you more energy for your day to day activities!

I've never smoked anything and don't understand why anyone would. Years ago there was a myth that smoking was good for you - tobacco companies paid doctors to say so - but those days are long gone.

You can just as easily ask why do people drink? Or eat too many burgers or donuts?

Some people who smoke are better company than others who don't. But it is damaging their health unfortunately and I also worry about passive smoking.

The difference is that you must eat and drink to live. There's no reason to smoke.

But you can kill yourself just as easily or even MORE easily with food.

Look at actor John Candy who died at 43 from morbid obesity. I recall when he died there was news that every year people die of morbid obesity in their 30s and 40s!

What about alcohol? It has the potential to be more dangerous than smoking. These days you have people getting liver disease at higher rates in their 30s & 40s due to cirrhosis of the liver from alcoholism!

Most people will die if they chug a liter of vodka quickly. But no such parallel exists with smoking.

My son smokes but me & my husband do not. All my husband's relatives smoke except for his late mother & late grandmother. I tried it a few times when I was younger but didn't care for it.
