Do you think there is a good possibility that Bob Bean, Pat Snead or Danny Wheeler or possibly an unknown enemy hired Guy Price to kill Sammy Wheeler? It's hard to believe that someone would just randomly murder Sammy Wheeler for no reason. No impossible but unlikely. What do you guys think?

No. This wasn't a "random" murder. This was a murder to cover-up a random robbery. Just like all the murders that cover-up random rapes.

Absolutely not. Surely it was investigated and not even in the realm of possibility.

Nope, as said he would have tried to mitigate it by pointing the finger at one of them long ago-he is still sitting in a jail cell over 20 years later & is unlikely to ever get out. It is just an incredibly bizarre case where three people all had a lot of motive to murder him, but it ended up being somebody totally unconnected. I do wonder after this was solved how Bob Bean felt knowing his ordering the guy to leave otherwise he would report him ended up being the thing that meant this happened?
