Oh No The 2010's are almost ending....

But why do I see the 2010's a failed and unidentified decade?

Is it because we were pushed behind with the economy?
Is it because the way of the world?
Is it because popular culture has nothing?

Is it me?

I don't see any good came of it apart from possibly a few medical advances. Look at the financial crash, which we're all still paying for today. What about the pressure on families to earn a crust; no wonder we have a crime wave and a spate of anti-social behaviour. The drugs problem is out of hand, as I see from this story: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/heal...cid=spartanntp

It’s been a rough decade. I blame trickle-down economics, in its disastrous fourth consecutive decade of implementation. Someday that’s got to change.

I can see that...the Great Recession DID put us out-of-whack! The suburban white flight is in full-swing...if I lived in a 'burb that becomes more African-American and/or Latino-American...I'd still stay because the people are practically nice...and more well-to-do. Two years ago, me, my brother, and my dad passed-by Garfield Heights because my grandfather lived there...someone else moved-in my grandfather's house and they did a good job remodeling a 150-year-old farmhouse...I saw they even painted the mid-century doors.

And children...they have no form of discipline, no parental figure, and no sense on concept except that their parents will keep you under their thumbs...that or the parents are children!

It makes me sad that I won't get to spend the 2020's with my husband.

Losing time is always bad because life is relatively short!

In 1977 an older woman said to NYC Mayor Ed Koch, "Make New York like it used to be."

Koch replied, "It never was like it used to be."

Agree 1000%...2006 sucked for me! I'd rather go back to the 1990's...corporation wasn't in full-swing, music was better, and it had an identity...

You can say I'm STILL Preoccupied with 1995...I even wrote a parody of the Bowling for Soup song "1985" and named it..."1995"...

Ducktales, Woohoo
Ducktales, Woohoo
I think I just hit the wall
I never had it all
At least one beer a day
Cleaning toilets again
My dreams went out the door
Before I hit thirty four
can't even find a woman
What happened to my plan?
I was gonna be an actor
I was gonna be a star
I was gonna write screenplays
In the backseat of McCartney's car
Mass transit you see, is now the enemy
I look at my dead-end life
And nothing has been alright
Since Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Don't forget Nirvana
There was U2 and Hootie
And music still on M-T-V
My nieces in grade school
Think what I like is uncool
'Cause I'm still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1995
Woohoo
(1995)
Woohoo
I've seen all the classics
I knows every line
Goodfellas, Forrest Gump
Even Mrs. Doubtire
I rocked out to Pearl Jam!
Not a big Katy Perry fan
I knew I'd understand
Barenaked Ladies are Men!
Where's my Sega Genesis/Mega Drive
And who's the other voice in "Family Guy"?
When did reality become T.V.
What ever happened to sitcoms, game shows
(On the TV there was)
Garfield, Tiny Toons
Animaniacs and Disney Afternoon
Sonic, MST3K
TGIF on Friday!
My nieces in grade school
Think what I like is uncool
'Cause I'm still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1995
Woohoo
We hate time make it stop
When did Green Day become classic rock?
And when did the Kardashians become cash cows?
Please make this
Stop! Stop! Stop!
And bring back
Friends, 3rd Rock, and Frasier
Seinfeld along with Kramer
Home Improvement, Drew Carey
Cartoons played on Saturday!
I'm like a kid out of school
At least some think I'm cool
'Cause I'm still preoccupied
1995
Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Don't forget Nirvana
There was U2 and Hootie
And music still on M-T-V
I'm like a kid out of school
At least some think I'm cool
'Cause I'm still preoccupied
