Labor Day is today, which is the unofficial end to summer...
My summer sucked! And Labor Day of 2019 wasn't that good...the only joy I had this weekend was a 50th Wedding Anniversary that I was invited to, but other than that...it was dull! Last year was better...I went to The Milan Melon Fest in a small town called Milan, Ohio...the birthplace of Thomas Edison...but then again, I do wanna go there this fall since the Edison Museum IS closed on Labor Day Weekend because of the Melon Fest (It was a hard decision, but I felt I made the right decision...when does a 50th Wedding Anniversary happen? Rarely)! I don't regret the choice I made this year...yesterday, I heard an earful from my father...I love him, but he keeps pressuring me to get a better job! And today, I went to St. Rocco's which isn't far from where I live and it was packed since people wanna see the grease pole competition. Then I went to St. Elias where it was VERY toned-down...what happened? My Summer of 2019 is a reflection of the 2010's...dull, dull, and dull! PS-I think I lucked-out of NOT going to The Melon Fest this year...they didn't have a car show. |

Well I volunteered to work for extra holiday pay and my office wasn't too busy. We had a potluck lunch which was really nice and because the traffic was light on the freeway I was able to drive and park in the parking lot in front of the building instead of taking the bus.

I always look forward to the holidays but they are never as good as I expect them to be.
I ate a double cheeseburger from Burger King I got Alexa -echo dot set up and she woke me up at 7:30 and wished me a nice day. On to Halloween :-) |

It was awesome. Labor Day itself, the wife and I spent the day on Mt Hood, listening to really good (and free) live music. Eating good food, and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery.
