Angela Hammond abduction site - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi all! Just wanted to share some photos I took from the Angela Hammond abduction site. We were traveling through Missouri on a road trip and thought an extra 50 miles out of the way to see this would be worth it:

This is the corner where the phone booths were. Beside of the pole, this is where the phone booths faced the road.

What is left of the parking lot where the phonebooth and signs used to be:

This is the old Food Lion, it is now a multi-business complex with a rent-to-own business and a bakery. It was very busy when we were there:

We rode around in Clinton, MO to see how small the town actually was. Needless to say, it is a very small town. The spot where Angela was abducted connects to the very busy downtown area, it's very hard to believe that something so brazen could happen here.

ALSO on a footnote, in the UM segment you see a tall building with lights on beside of the telephone booths, today it now a park ran by the church the sits directly behind it.

Thanks guys! I really wanted to take more, kinda map out how the kidnapper circled and how he got out so quickly, however this area of the town was incredibly busy. We were there into the late evening and the town was still bustling.

Very interesting thank you. Must look creepy at night, though many who live there may not know of the case to make such connections as we can.

Thanks for posting the pics.

I've snooped around the area on Google Street View before. The first thing that stood out to me was that the phone booths were right across the street from a church. Things probably would have been much different had the phone booth been inside the market of that parking lot.

The "downtown" district is kind of shaped like a giant square but it looks really nice. Although you're right about Clinton being small. It's definitely one of those blink and you'll miss them towns.

oh. thnx for this. I seen some earlier and re-watching it in full tonight. 1 of the most tragic stories involving an abduction/and or murder, for which should never had happen.

She was such a cute girl. She had a life. She didn't deserve what happened to her. I am re-watching today's epie on ID DISCOVERY of her, and the other two.
I know Trudy family at least finally was able to get some justice. But, not her or the other victim.I believe Jesse did it, or his crazy loser brother, who i heard die in prison."Should've gotten death row.Both of em'...

I wonder,at times, how Ms.Hammond BF(boyfriend)at the time is doing.I am sure (as my brother is saying he will never "fully" get over her, and or the loss of her, and he was not able to help/follow the vehicle, seeing her waving, being

kidnap when transmission messed up.

I still pray for both victims, to 1 day receive, some justice.
