laugh track - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Just started watching this on Decades (DVR'd it) for the first time since it originally aired. First thing I noticed was the laugh track. It seems so subdued, in an odd way. Decades skipped a few episodes so I'm filling them in by watching on Youtube. Sure enough, the Youtube episodes don't have a laugh track. First time I've encountered a series which added a laugh track for syndication or DVD.

The show originally had a laugh track for the first 12 episodes or so. There was no laugh track after that.

You are correct. By coincidence, the first episode skipped by Decades was episode 13! The confusing thing is that none of the first 12 episodes posted on Youtube have a laugh track, I guess there are different versions in syndication.
