what lyrics in theme songs have you thought were right but you've found out you've had them wrong?
I always though that, in the GREEN ACRES theme when Lisa sings "Neeew York is where I'd rather stay..." when the show first aired in the 60s I thought it was "Nooo, York is where I'd rather stay..." And in THE BRADY BUNCH theme when they sing "Here's the story...of a man named Brady..." back when the show first aired in the early 70s I thought they sang "Here's the story...of Adam Brady..." |

Up until a few months ago I always thought that she said "I swear" instead of "Times Square."

Two from Gilligan's Island
If not for the courage of the fearless crew the Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost. When I was little I thought it was "The Middle would be lost"! ![]() And in the closing theme : So this is the tale of our castaways, they're here for a long, long time. They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. Instead of" it's an uphill climb" , I thought it was" It's enough to cry" !

"Diff'rent Strokes" theme: I thought the line was: "They got nothing but their dreams." But, it's "They got nothin' but their jeans" !!!

To this day, I can't understand what he's saying. It sounds like "I'm gonna get some braggets, and some rolls and reezamizing..." |
