Wikipedia said that in the second season John moved to the small southern town where he grew up to restart the local paper. Well, I think it is actually set in the Midwest. John said that Ben or Elliott one was a midwestern kid. Also, in one episode John and Billy went to St. Louis to look at printing press equipment.

I believe it is too. I even saw a Missouri license plate in one episode. I’m from Missouri myself.

Was the first season set somewhere else? I dont remember the set changing from season one to two.

Season 1 took place in Washington D.C. Season 2 moved them to Missouri where they ran a newspaper.
