Well known actress on UM - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was reading about one of my favorite old movies, Nocturne, last night and found an article that mentioned an uncredited appearance on Unsolved Mysteries by actress Myrna Dell.

Dell was a popular movie actress in the 40's and 50's and later appeared in dozens of tv shows including Dragnet, Batman and the Donna Reed Show. As it turns out her daughter, Laura Patterson, worked as a tv producer and also directed two episodes of UM in 1995. Her mom had an uncredited role in one of the episodes, but the article didn't mention the role she played.

I'm not sure this has been mentioned on the discussion board, but I thought it was interesting and wanted to share the info.

Once I looked her up I recognized her immediately. She was actually in a couple of episodes that I'm aware of. She was an antique store clerk in a segment about an old family Bible whose purchaser wanted to find the family to which it originally belonged. In the other, she played a victim of Gertrude Pruitt. The alias UM gave that victim, sure enough, was "Myrna."

Thanks for the additional information, Meg. I remember both those segments but never realized the Myrna connection.
