Keke Palmer To Join "Strahan and Sara" as Co-host

Keke Palmer is set to join Michael Strahan and Sara Haines as a third co-host on ABC’s "Strahan and Sara", Page Six has exclusively learned.

The singer and actress is days away from inking a deal with the network to join the GMA program, we hear. “ABC execs are close to finalizing a deal . . . She’s fun, spontaneous and has great energy,” an insider told us.

“Keke has been so much fun filling in, so they decided to make her an offer,” said the insider. “The audience knows her and she’s got great chemistry with both hosts.”

Palmer has frequently filled in as a guest co-host, especially while Haines was on maternity leave, which she returned from last week.

The network is hoping Palmer, who turns 26 next month, will attract younger viewers. It’s not yet clear whether the network would change the name of the show again to include Palmer’s name. We’re told the deal may be done by the end of the week.

Keke Palmer made her debut Monday as co-host of the third hour of "Good Morning America", joining Michael Strahan and Sara Haines. The actress and TV personality had already been taking a significant role on the ABC morning show in recent months.

In July, she was reported to be near a deal to officially come aboard. The block will now be renamed "GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke".
