Apparently this stuff has been around for a while, but it's recently become trendy - at least where I am around NYC. A lot of those corner convenient stores have been stocking up and trying to get me to buy some.
I have some friends who use and tell me it "tastes like garbage", but they feel good after using it. I'm not interested in this stuff, but wanted to see if anyone else heard of it? It's regarded as a "dietary supplement" so, as of now, CBD oil is not regulated and can be bought/sold by anyone. It also has no THC, meaning you cannot get high from it, so it's not classified as a drug (it's extracted from cannabis). |

I've used it, and I'm actually not sure if it does anything or not. Some people claim it has long-term uses such as prevention of certain cancers. The taste depends on the brand. I've had some that have no taste and some that taste awful. Honestly, though, for pain management, I prefer just using edibles. I haven't had great luck managing pain with CBD oil.

A friend introduced me to High Tea (cannabidiol) and it's not too bad.
My fav. so far is the Earl Grey. |

From what I've researched, they are two totally different compounds that come from different parts of the hemp plant and have different purposes. CBD is said to help chronic pain and works as an anti-inflammatory, whereas hemp oil is used for skin care and auto-immune conditions like psoriasis.
CBD oil is extracted from the leaves, flowers, and stalks of the cannabis plant. Hemp oil is extracted from the seeds and contains no cannabinoids in it. |

I put 3 drops of CBD under my tongue every night for my shoulder pain, but I might as well quit it because I've been doing this for a couple of months or so and it hasn't helped anything.
It doesn't taste like anything to me. |
