The Jeffersons really didn't need a Finale episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

What was they going to do for a finale? Nothing hinted at a finale the previous 2 seasons so what exactly were they going to do to close out the show? Now a good finale would have been the Hawaii episode when George considered moving out there to be more healthy in season. Maybe if they had moved that episode up to season 9 then they could have used that plot as a possibility to do a finale. But Lionel and Jenny were married and the Jeffersons and Willises were comfortable in their NYC apartments and never talked about moving to a area that were more relaxed and away from the city

So the only thing to do was have Florence or Bentley find a love companion but i dont think most viewers would have cared about that since Bentley was a neighbor and Florence was a maid.

But a great Finale would have been if they decided to end the show in 1981 and have Florence accept that hotel job and the Jeffersons move to Hawaii

what about laundey is a tough town episode, George decides to retire and him and louies decide to travel the world together.
