Oh wow, is this a sequel? I might actually go and see this or see it when it comes to DVD. I just watched Top Gun the other day. I didn't realize that Tom Cruise was in it. I thought it was just another one of those "remakes"

Yes, it's a sequel. I believe Cruise and Val Kilmer are the only ones from the original coming back.
