ABC wasn’t the first network to broadcast movies made specifically for television, but it may have made them a fixture on network television for the next 30 years or so.

I remember watching those ABC movies of the week on my brother's little bedroom tv set. I think one was called Love Hate Love that had Lesley Ann Warren in it. Some of those movies were really good.
