I read somewhere that ABC does plan to bring TGIF back but I forget when that is.

I'm suprised they are planning to bring TGIF back. Didn't they just pull the plug on it a year or two ago?

Anyways, even if they did bring it back, I highly doubt it could come close to capturing the spirit that made TGIF great in the early ninetees.
They had wholesome, innocent family entertainment. Nothing brilliant, but shows that made you feel good. There really aren't any shows that could fill that void right now.

On a side not, does anyone remember when ABC breifly had the I Love Saturday Night (ISN) comedy lineup to go along with TGIF?

TGIF is back! It features Hope & Faith, Life With Bonnie, and other shows I forgot which ones.

I think they have George Lopez and 8 rules for dating my teenage daughter.

TGIF is NOT what it used to be. It was a whole lot better in the late 80s/early 90s! I clearly remember seeing Full House, Just the Ten of Us, Growing Pains, Family Matters, etc with all the family shows. Nowadays, there are family shows, but they don't really focus in on the entire family like they used to. What's happened to all the good shows? Thank goodness for reruns!!

The new TGIF is crap.

I loved the Family Matters/Full House/Step By Step block too.
