Mother’s Helper

In a later episode Wally tells Beaver he’ll meet new kids because all the grammar schools go to Mayfield High. In this episode we find there’s another high school in Mayfield called Union High. She must live nearby to help every afternoon.

Also when June is telling Ward that her helper is Mrs. Manners’ daughter in high school she doesn’t say her name but in the same conversation he calls her Margie. Did June tell him her name? Also if Margie stays to help with dishes when does she eat and didn't Ward meet her when he got home?

LOL Mr. Hallor the principal called to say Wally got a C- on an English test!! Heaven forbid.

Also Dudley went to another high school, possibly nearby. Eddie and Lumpy were familiar with it because one of them said they had the best girls volleyball team.

I think Dudley was from a different city completely and they only knew about Buchanan High because Dudley told them. I think Eddie talking about the girls’ Volleyball team was a joke. June says Ruth had just moved into town.

I just watched this last night and I found it hilarious that June was wearing a nice dress and Ward had on a suit and tie to go to the movies! And yes, that was funny that the teacher called to tell June about Wally's C-minus on his test. I was kind of expecting a bit more from this ep b/c they didn't really show his grades suffering that much or the consequences. They just had it focus mainly on Ward and June and how they were going to keep Wally from swooning over Margie. But it was still a funny episode. I hadn't seen the show in a long time so it was nice to watch it again.
