I can't say I ever heard of him commenting much on the individual cases. Perhaps a former production member reads this and could chime in.

Robert Stack did a Reddit AMA many years ago and he said his two favorite cases were the Magic Rock and the fertility statues. He said, "Other shows like America's Most Wanted get to find criminals and missing people, too, but only I get to do the supernatural."

I've read that he was a friend of Micky Thompson and that his (and his wife's) murders really saddened him.

If I had to guess, I'd say the Elliot Ness segment might be his favorite for sentimental reasons. He even has a slight smile on his face when he mentioned his days of portraying Elliot Ness, himself.

But after narrating more than 1,000 segments and countless updates, they probably all ran together in one big blur in his head. If he were alive today, it would probably be hard for him to make a favorites list.

It must have been a different site. Stack passed away before Reddit wa founded.
