The lost arts of Hollywood

Title sequences (or more properly, the lack of same)!

It used to be that you'd know what show you were seeing (or about to be seeing) by how its title sequence was crafted (like the Wave of O-R 1968-80 Jack Lord Five-O, or the Texas Stadium flyover of O-R 1978-91 Dallas on CBS, among other things). But now, we don't get that anymore-- all there is is just a title, some music, and that's it!
