I wonder why Bonnie ended up getting replaced.

I had not heard of Bonnie Dennison before this show was picked up. Ashley Tisdale is a bigger name and probably a bigger ratings draw.

I've liked Ashley since her Zack and Cody days.

Patricia Heaton is doing another sitcom? She has been on two very successful series both for 18 years (Nine for Raymond and nine for The Middle). The lady is nearly sixty and should be filthy rich. I guess she really likes to work or something.

While I personally find her attractive, she has been VERY LUCKY. She is sort of run of the mill average to me. No more special than a lot of sitcom and TV actresses who hit it big twice. I mean Mary Tyler Moore only had one his show for seven years with only three networks, and arguably MTM was a lot more talented than Patricia Heaton.

Mary Tyler Moore started out on The Dick Van Dyke Show, which made it to 158 episodes, so she didn't have just one successful show. Patricia Heaton's new sitcom will air Thursdays at 9:30 on CBS when the new fall season starts. Lots of actors older than 60 are still working, that age is a long way from death still...

Look at Betty White who has done The Mary Tyler Moore Show & The Golden Girls & Hot In Cleveland not to mention all the game shows she was on and guest star roles on the middle and other shows.

Patricia Heaton is one of the few current actors I actually like. She's very talented.

I think that's what makes her appeal so much to a wide audience. Being run of the mill average makes her relatable to many viewers. I've always liked her and prefer to see her kind of actresses on TV over the overly made up, trashy fake looking Botox freaks that are everywhere.

That said, I too am shocked she's going for another sitcom after her almost 20 year success with 2 hit shows. You'd think she'd want to take it easy and retire. I guess she really loves what she does and that's a great thing.

I'm sure name recognition as well.
