So I love both of these movies but I'm partial to the remake simply because I saw it first. I absolutely adore Audrey Hepburn however, so that's mainly why I love the original so much. It's not my favorite Audrey movie, but it's up there. I don't care for William Holden all that much. I think Humphrey Bogart is better but to be honest the acting seems a little canned. Not to insult anyone, of course. It's a classic for sure and has some really funny and sweet, romantic moments.
As for the remake, I hate the fact that they had Sabrina slap Linus when he kissed her but I did like that she didn't lock herself in the garage with the cars like Audrey Hepburn did in the original. That part is funny but it kind of bothered me for personal reasons. But it was done tastefully. I love watching both and seeing the similarities and differences. Anyone want to discuss their favorite version or scenes? |
