Please help me find an episode! I am going insane trying to find this on my own. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The scene in question is when the line " A, U, gimmie back my gold watch!" Is said.

I have been searching tirelessly for the proof that this scene happened On Diff'rent Strokes and not just on Facts of Life.

important to note- There is an episode of The Facts of Life in which this quote is said! A friend and I recently referenced this quote to being from Diff'rent Strokes. We both remember the scene vividly as its the reason we both know the periodic table designation for gold.

other points to note-

1- my friend mentioned the diffrent strokes scene on his podcast and described it exactly as i remember it.

2- we had not spoken to one another or had any influence on each others memory of this being on diffrent strokes. He recorded this podcast episode weeks ago and i happened to be listening to it in my car 2 days ago. We had no communication about this previously.

3- he never watched The Facts of Life so he said he cant be remembering it wrong

4- we have been over the Mandela effect tirelessly. We do not think this is a Bernstein Bears thing.

5- it is NOT the diffrent strokes episode titled " hot watch"

6- the scene as we remember it is Willis and Arnold and possibly Kimberly are in their bedroom ( with the bunk beds) and one of them is studying for a test. One offers the anecdote to remember the element gold by giving the phrase " A, U, Gimmie back my gold watch!"

7- Yes the scene reads EXACTLY like the Facts of Life scene. Is it possible that this gag was used in 2 similar era tv sitcoms? They were crossover shows as well

we both are convinced this scene exists and SOMEONE out there can help us find it.

There is a youtube clip of The Facts of Life scene. We know that exists and its been sent to us already. Ive been google searching my ass off for 24 hours to no avail. Ive been watching episodes of Diff'rent Strokes all day and night to hope to catch it.

This probably won't help you guys, but I don't think I've ever heard that line in my life, and I've watched every episode of Diff'rent Strokes within the last couple of years - and I've never watched any Facts of Life.

As far as I know, it's only in the "Facts of Life" episode "Take My Finals Please", near the end of season 4.

I don't remember it being on DS, but we'll see if anyone else does.
