When it comes down to it the 80's were the biggest year for food not only in terms of new products but in commercials as well and as popular as these new at the time foods were on supermarket shelves the food commercials of the 80's were great and full of fun to watch. Like how many of you remember Carnation's Instant Breakfast commercial with it's catchy jingle "You're Gonna Love It In An Instant" Or looking at Swanson's Le Menu commercial from 1986 and thinking how great tasting a Le Menu entree might be? When I was doing commercial research on Youtube yesterday I could not believe that there was so many new types of foods being introduced in the 80's with their own unique commercials like Instant Cream Of Wheat with the hugely popular and famous "Nabisco" chime that was used in so many Nabisco ads during the 80's. And Chex Cereal with the Chex The Classic Crunch commercial that featured Norman Rockwell styled art throughout it. When you look at and compare the food commercials of the 80's to the food commercials of today you'll see that the food commercials of the 80's were better than what food commercials have become today. And with many of the 80's foods being discontinued the companies should bring some of the 80's foods back like Nabisco's Fruit Wheats cereal to Hormel's Top Shelf microwave entrees i'm sure people would love it
Do you think the food commercials of the 80's are better than today's food commecials? Bestie |

I agree Bestie! 80s food commercials were better. Now people are afraid of their food. The commercials tell you their food has less food in it and less flavor, and that is supposed to impress you.
