"Dirty John" Moving from Bravo to USA Network for Season 2

Breakout true-crime anthology series "Dirty John" will be moving from Bravo to sister NBCUniversal network USA for its second season, expected to premiere in 2020.

"Dirty John" received a two-season straight-to-series order by Bravo in January 2018. With its first season, starring Connie Britton and Eric Bana, "Dirty John" became the highest-rated scripted series ever on the network, with ratings growing throughout its run.



A move to a bigger network with established scripted footprint is expected to help the series expand its reach similarly to the ratings bump "RuPaul’s Drag Race" got on the unscripted side when it moved from Logo to VH1.

The subject for the second installment is yet to be revealed.

Season 2 will be a completely different plot, which has yet to be disclosed.

But the first season was based on a TRUE story. So you're saying the second season will be just made up??

Probably based on somebody else... I don't know what they are doing. They said the series is an anthology.

Amanda Peet & Christian Slater To Star in "Dirty John" Season 2 on USA; Title & Subject Revealed

Amanda Peet and Christian Slater are set to headline the second season of anthology series "Dirty John", which will air on USA Network and be titled "Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story".

In Season 2, it is the story of convicted murderer Betty Broderick (Peet) and her ex-husband (Slater) that spans the 1960s to the ’80s and chronicles the breakdown of their marriage that Oprah deemed one of “America’s messiest divorces” even before it ended in double homicide.
