Default Ever Wish a Long-Running Series Produced More Episodes Than it Already Has?

Thinking about the original run of The Big Bang Theory ending this week, and the several-hundred episodes that The Simpsons and NCIS have each accumulated so far, do you wish that a long-running series had produced more episodes than they've already had? Like, for example, an individual episode or multi-episode storyline that the writers/producers of a particular show were considering, but that episode or storyline never came to fruition. Or if a 3-4-season series that was abruptly cancelled ran for at least a couple of seasons longer, what episodes or storylines would you liked to see then? It doesn't always have to be a proper series finale or anything.

Addams Family, Gilligan's Island, and The Patty Duke Show needed more episodes. So did The Munsters, for those fans. (OOPS-sorry-this post doesn't apply!--these aren't long-running series)

Starz! has Timeless TV section in its On Demand, and I think recently added the full 8 seasons of Diff'rent Strokes. I'd say 8 seasons is long running and this show is well known.

Anyways, I watched the pilot episode, and episode of 2 of Season 1, then watched the very last episode of season 8. I like doing that with streaming when all seasons are available, to see how much a show changes from start to end. How sad, that the show's final episode was that episode. An episode of Arnold going to a gym and about to expose some guys using steroids. Not in anyways what should have been a series finale for that show. Willis wasn't even there, and that annoying Problem Child looking kid Sam was there. Then again, the cast from that show had a troubled history. It's unfortunate that the show finished in such a low place.

Most last seasons are terrible and it's hard to justify more episodes after that, but there are a few shows I wish had more episodes or possibly follow up as a reboot (kind of like The Conners from Roseanne). I wish there was more Laverne & Shirley, but with Shirley still on the show - not a Laverne & Friends situation. Maybe one or both of them as married and maybe kids, some years later, but the same premise of them being best friends.

I would have liked to see an episode or a 3 or 4 episode "arc" where Bailey & Johnny end up together.

Gilligan's Island is SCREAMING for new episodes because the castaways were left stranded on the island! They were all set to do a season 4 with scripts written but it was abruptly cancelled for the ZILLIONTH season of Gunsmoke!

I'd love to see more episodes of Three's Company because Jack Tripper is the funniest sitcom character EVER! Also we needed more episodes of the Ropers, F Troop, & Three's a Crowd!

2 funny cop shows that needed more episodes were Police Squad and Sledgehammer!!

The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, F-Troop, I Dream of Jeannie (it always seemed to have a relatively short cycle in syndication because the B&W episodes were unavailable for a time).
