On Sundays. Unfortunately these episodes I don’t think have the Honeymooners sketches like the Incredible World of Ed Norton. And according to zap2it.com, they are an hour long from 8p-9p. I am curious to see if they are showing the syndicated half-hour episodes or the one hour long episodes (even though WBXZ’s website’s schedule says it is the one hour episodes. Zap2it does the same thing.) If they show the hour long episodes, I am curious to see if they show the hour long episodes from 1970 and if they show the Incredible World of Ed Norton. I think the schedule on the website is lying and they only did that to attract viewers. Wouldn’t be getting the hour long episodes be cost prohibitive for them? |

Is anyone checking these out, at least?
Seems like there was an hour long episode or two on channel 9 in the mid-80's. Anyone recall these? I vaguely remember an episode showcasing the June Taylor dancers, complete with the (not original, but the speed boat in b&w) show open (minus the models' introductions/half hour announcements) and sit-down monologue that is conspicuously missing from the kinescope and syndie copies circulating these last few years. Gleason remarked at the start that it would be a different kind of show and that the dancers' contribution was overlooked far too often. It had an Americana/Independence theme. One or two American Scene half hours started with a b&w speedboat opening as well. Those late night (3-4am) airings would sometimes be replaced with rare, almost complete vintage episodes of Saturday Night Live that ran an hour and a half .. at least on our cable system in SC. Good ol' channel 9 which was, for us, channel 21 on CableVision. |

I asked the same question in the other topic in The Honeymooners section. I'm genuinely curious to what they're airing. Either way it's cool that a station is showing ASM again at all. I wish I got this channel to see it.

The station emailed me back and they said that they do not carry the color episodes of the 1960s version of the Jackie Gleason Show so no Incredible World of Ed Norton.
