Younger Versions of BBT Characters to Appear on "Young Sheldon" Season 2 Finale
"Young Sheldon" Staging Biggest BBT Crossover Yet: Leonard, Penny, Amy, Raj, Howard and Bernadette to Appear in Season 2 Finale — Find Out How!
by Michael Ausiello May 9, 2019 The universe of "Young Sheldon" will expand dramatically next week as the CBS comedy pays homage to its departing mothership. TVLine has learned exclusively that "Young Sheldon‘s" Season 2 finale — which is set to air May 16 at 9/8c, immediately following the one-hour series finale of "The Big Bang Theory" — will feature younger versions of Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Amy and Bernadette. A CBS rep confirms that miniature versions of Sheldon’s future squad will cross over as both a tribute to "Big Bang" and as part of a "Young Sheldon" storyline. It’s not clear exactly how the gang will figure into the episode, but considering Sheldon doesn’t meet the sextet until adulthood it seems unlikely that they would find themselves in "Young Sheldon’s" immediate Texas orbit. Another unknown: The identity of the child actors portraying the youngsters. https://tvline.com/2019/05/09/young-...g-theory-cast/ |

It makes no sense to crossover any of the Big Bang Theory characters with Young Sheldon. Especially since when they were younger none of them even lived anywhere near Texas besides Howard & Amy in California. Leonard was from New Jersey, Raj was from India, Penny was from Nebraska, Bernadette was a army brat, and Howard & Amy are from California.
Maybe it's just me, but the idea just sounds like a really bad one. Unless they give each character their own episode WITHOUT the Young Sheldon cast with their own respective families and focus just on them. Even that doesn't work well. |
