On Sundays. Unfortunately these episodes I don’t think have the Honeymooners sketches like the Incredible World of Ed Norton. And according to zap2it.com, they are an hour long from 8p-9p. |

An hour? As in "uncut" or 2 half hours back-ta-back?

The grid on zap2it’s guide and the grid on the guide on the stations website gives the impression that it is an hour. I don’t live in Buffalo but I did use the Contact Us button on the stations website and asked them if they were going to show the episode from 1/17/70 which supposedly has the Incredible World of Ed Norton sketch. So far, no response.

I highly doubt they'll answer you about that.

Now, that I think about this I think the station is showing the half hour shows and they are claiming it’s one hour in order to get more viewers. In other words, I think they are lying. Would getting the rights to the one hour shows be cost prohibitive for them?

For what it's worth, American Scene was edited into half-hour episodes for syndication.

I've noticed that most diginet channels won't email you back about that stuff. The only diginet channel I ever had email me back was BUZZR. That was me asking if they would be airing the 2000 episodes of Supermarket Sweep as well as the older ones.

I've had Antenna TV email me back and that’s about it. Tried emailing Start TV a few weeks ago, and still no response back from them yet.

Was anybody able to catch a episode on last Sunday to confirm if they were indeed one hour broadcasts or syndicated 30 minutes?

I spoke to member Sal in an email. The email says that it’s the hour long version.
Are there any episodes of ASM in the public domain? I would think that station acquiring non public domain shows would be cost prohibitive for them. |

The station emailed me back and they said that they do not carry the color episodes of the 1960s version of the Jackie Gleason Show so no Incredible World of Ed Norton.

Would Sal happen to be a fan saving these episodes? Willing to share, maybe, if they are the full hour shows?

I wouldn't mind getting a hold of some hour broadcasts of ASM if someone was recording 'em.

Just found out that Jackie Gleason and his American Scene Magazine are also being shown M-F 6a and 7p. Naturally, zap2it.com provides no summaries.
