In commercials today I've noticed that it's scarce to find commercials that feature traditional families and I would like to know why this is? Because in almost every commercial I noticed that the fathers are taking care of the kids while the mothers are always absent from the commercials. Is this because this is the new version of the American family? I remember in the 60's 70's and 80's you would always see traditional families in the commercials but if you watch TV today and study the commercials you'll see the fathers appearing a lot more in the commercials having the job of raising the children. With the exception of the new Denny's commercial that features a traditional family eating dinner I think this is the new breed of commercials featuring family oriented products

I'm sorry to say you are right Bestie. Fathers now, in commercials are either absent, morons or useless. Same with tv shows. It is as if they do not want to hurt the feelings of single mother families. Hopefully it will change.
