I suggeste the revamped will be more animated just like a mix of Sonic's Dreamcast games meet Sonic SatAM cartoons from the ABC & FOX days.

This is all a PR stunt. The studio trolled the internet geeks with a fake trailer that they knew would blow up. Now the filmmaker is pretending he listened to the geeks and is working round the clock to "fix Sonic", when the fixed version was in the original movie all along. The fact that they never changed the movie date says volumes. There's no way anyone would have the time and money to redo all of this animation and still get it out by that date, or have whipped up a model so quickly. (They unveiled the "fixed" Sonic just a few days after the backlash.)
