Did Aunt Martha call up on same she and her friend to come for a visit? June says yes when she didn't know about the free passes to the carnival, however, I guess Aunt and her friend were more important than the carnival.

Yep, it looked like Aunt Martha called on that (I assume) Saturday morning. June apparently didn't know the boys were out in the garage. If she had known, I'd assume she'd have gone out there and told them of Aunt Martha's visit right after the call.
When Aunt Martha asked the boys if they had any plans, Wally didn't know what to say, so he lied. I think Ward or June should have jumped in and told the truth, saying something like, "Martha, we found out after your call that the boys made plans to go to a carnival in Garden Grove, but we'll have plenty of time for you and Mrs. Elkins to stay for lunch. Wally, could you call your friends and change the time to a little later?" This is a mis-titled episode. I would have called it "We Were Misdirected." |
