Default TV IRL (TV In Real Life)

Hello Everyone,

I was thinking to myself of a VERY Interesting Concept: much in the way Tony Danza became a Real-Life Teacher as depicted on A&E's short-lived 2010 show "Teach: Tony Danza," imagine a weekly series (not unlike the short-lived 2007 TV Land show "Back to the Grind") where Classic TV stars of years gone by plays their TV character's occupations--IN REAL LIFE--some with successful results, some with hilarious results, and OTHERS with DISASTROUS Results.

The working title, "TV IRL" (short for "TV In Real Life"), features one Classic TV star per Hour-Long Episode--in its present, idea stage--playing their TV characters' Occupations--IN REAL LIFE, of course. I should warn readers in advance that this is NOT a real TV show--YET--but however, in the coming weeks, I do plan on pitching the ideal concept to a major network e.g. ABC.

Among such episode Proposals include, but not limited to, the following:

1. Scott Baio: Male Nanny -- In this Pilot episode of "TV IRL," Scott Baio, like his title character on the '80s sitcom "Charles in Charge" did for 5 seasons in 6 years from 1984-1990, spends a month working as a real-life live-in Male Nanny for a Middle-Class Family in New York City, New York; over the course of the Hour-Long Episode, Scott Baio discovers that being a Male Nanny is not all that's cracked up to be and yearns to return home to wife Renee.

2. Neil Patrick Harris: Doctor -- Like the Teen Doctor he portrayed for 4 years on the hit '80s Hospital Drama "Doogie Howser," Neil Patrick Harris takes a 2-week Hiatus from Acting and becomes a Real-Life Medical Intern at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, New York; though he doesn't perform Surgery himself, Neil does, however, assists the Doctors in such life-saving Predicaments with Real Results, from a Hernia Operation to a Quadruple Bypass Surgery, and Minor Surgeries e.g. a Cateract Surgery.

3. Coach: Craig T. Nelson -- For 13 weeks, Craig T. Nelson, 30 years after he began his 8-year run on the hit '80s Football Sitcom "Coach," becomes a Real-Life College Football Coach at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, joined by a Coaching staff including Dick Butkus as Craig's Assistant Football Coach and Broadway Joe Namath as Defense Coordinator.

Think about this: does all this sound great or what? And that's just the first 3 episode proposals.

Further episodes of "TV IRL" (which I would have be a Production of ABC Studios, owned by The Walt Disney Company) would have Kirk Cameron play, FOR REAL, a Graphic Artist like his short-lived 1995 WB sitcom "Kirk," Tim Allen playing a real-life Blogger for a Major Tool Company like his character's "Outdoor Man" blogs on "Last Man Standing," and William Daniels become a real-life Teacher like Mr. Feeny on his '90s Disney sitcom "Boy Meets World."
