Big in Eastland (Buck Owens parody with Nancy Olsen)
Someone has cleverly come up with a parody of Buck Owens' song "Big in Vegas", turning it into a lament of the disappearance of Nancy (and as a tangent the other Lost Girls) after Season One of The Facts of Life.
Here are the lyrics to "Big in Eastland (The Felice Schachter Story)" When I was young, I left my home, and was called away, to Eastland. With my chiffon and my dreams, and my tight green leotards, in Eastland. But the critics told me, this was wrong. Said the cast list, was too long. By my TVQ is strong, I'm gonna make it big, in Eastland. They'll put my name on the screen with my picture, and the ratings of my show will be strong. There'll be the howling and screaming of the viewers, when me and the blondes come on. When I turn 'em on in Eastland. Well they gave me grief because I had the highest IQ, in Eastland. And my dress got wet 'cause my umbrella got stuck, outside Eastland. I got two-timed, like a sop, so I poured ice, down Blair's top. Now I'm pregnant. And that's all they let me do, in Eastland. They put my name on the screen with my picture, though the ratings of our show weren't strong. There was the howling and screaming of the viewers, when me and those blondes came on.
