Default How many bedrooms did their house have ??

I was watching "Joey's train" the other day and it got me thinking about this! In this ep. right after the Chief died ! Jonathan wanted him and Julie to move into the Chief's bedroom because it was bigger than the room they were in (being it was cramped having a giant Teddy Bear) Nell was having a very hard time accepting the Chief's death and wouldn't hear of it at first ! The Chief's room was sacred and off limits.

Anyway , back to the point of this thread. How many bedrooms were in this house?

1- Nell's (downstairs)
2- The Chief's
3 -Julie & Jonathan's
4- Samantha and Katie
5- Joey's room
6- Grandpa's room

Or did Joey and Grandpa share a room perhaps? So 5 or 6 bedrooms Wow!! That is a big luxury home to have on a Policeman's salary !! And the house looked nice downstairs but not quite big enough to be a 5 or 6 bedroom home!

Joey and Grandpa shared a room, and it might of been the Chief's old room after he died, I forget?

No! It was Julie and Jonathan that moved into the Chief's old room at the end of the "Joey's train " ep. After Nell finally said it was OK! I guess Joey and Grampa shared a room before that . That's what I was wondering, if they shared a room or not? So I guess they had a 5 bedroom house.

Sam or Katie moved into Julie and Jonathan's old small room, so both girls had their own room than!

Did both girls really share a room? That is so odd...you'd think if any of the girls had her own room, it would be Katie, being the eldest.

She did before. But for lack of room, after Joey and than Jonathan moving in she had no choice but to share a room with Sam. And Grampa didn't live with them from the beginning right? I kinda remember watching earlier seasons , it seemed all the girls had their own rooms ?

1- Nell's room downstairs
2- Chiefs room
bedrooms 3 , 4 & 5 Katie , Julie and Samantha

Than after Grandpa and Joey, I guess Julie and Sam shared a room maybe. Than of course after she got married, her and Jonathan needed a bedroom , so that's how Katie and Sam got stuck together. So after the Chief died and Julie and Jonathan got his room , Katie did get her own room again!

I never really thought about this before as I said before seeing "Joey's train" ep the other day!

Yeah that was why I made this thread , wondering if they had 6 bedrooms or if Joey and Grandpa shared a room! Cause 5 bedrooms makes more sense (and one being downstairs) than a 6 bedroom home. They weren't THAT rich and the house didn't seem that big to have all those bedrooms!!

I believe grandpa and Joey later shared a room later in season 3 or 4.

I think there were 5 bedrooms...the downstairs bedroom was the guest room where Margaret Kaniski would sleep-in when she watches late-night TV.

That makes sense I've been watching some episodes on Tubi and also trying to figure out the bedroom situation esp considering it was a middle class type home.

All 3 girls had their own bedroom + the Chief also had one upstairs during season 1. Nell always had her bedroom downstairs.

Joey and Grandpa moved in during Season 3 and shared a room. I'm guessing at that point Samantha moved in with Julie and then maybe later Sam moved in with Katie after Julie got married? The show never made it clear.
