Lightbulb International Women's Day 2019

Today is International Women's Day and I must say that even in the past, there were women who made a difference...from Esther to Joan of Arc and even Florence Nightingale...they've changed history!

The irony might be for women to abolish this day once they deem equality to have been achieved.

Do women necessarily have to be better than men at their chosen career to make it to the top? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47511024

Could you specify the "Esther", "Joan of Arc", and "Florence Nightingale" mentioned in this message?

(note: personally I would consider any day to be a day celebrate any kind of human being)

Fine...if you insist!

Esther-She informed Xerxes to save the people of Israel when it was under the rule of Persia.

Joan of Arc-She fought in The Hundred Years War where mostly men fought wars.

Florence Nightingale-She nursed many people to health during the Crimean War.

There...Are You Happy Now?

Thank you for the response, even though it could had been posted without the texts of "Fine...if you insist!" and "There...Are You Happy Now?" (I had sensed some unpleasant tones while reading them).

Mario500 you're out of order and have no point to make.

You've been giving me a hard time about it...and I'll inform it as well before I get upset!

I posted about this on Facebook and many asked to share what I posted. Basically the gist was I had read someone saying "why International Women's Day when there is Mother's Day" and I told him that they aren't the same because not all women are mothers and stats show women are increasingly choosing not to have kids (I am one of those). Also, the reality is women are still discriminated against, and yet so many have made a difference in our lives.
