Sitting here thinking about how I use to go the Readmore bookstore back in the 70's and picking up these magazines. Was always fun to look forward to.

Cracked
Famous Monsters Of Filmland
Rona Barrett Hollywood/Gossip
Teen Magazines featuring KISS, Shaun Cassidy etc...

What magazines did you buy or still buy?

TV Guide (before it became an entertainment type of magazine around 2004 or so)

I used to buy “TV Guide” ever week in the 90s.

I also used to buy “16”, “Teen Beat”...all the teen magazines if they had pictures of Danielle Fishel.

Used to subscribe to “Vogue” years ago.

I get Closer, Reader's Digest & Redbook in the mail. Sometimes I'll pick up a Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan at Walmart if the cover looks interesting. I used to read 16 magazine and Tiger Beat when I was a teenager. They had some great fold out posters I would hang in my bedroom. I love to read magazines and books.

Don't read magazines anymore unless someone at work leaves one in the break room and I'm bored.

But back the 80's through mid 90's I was subscribed to a few, and bought some.

The first subscription I had was a bday present from my mom, it was my 14th or 15th birthday- Fangoria Magazine, kept the subscription going until the late 90's. Also had a subscription to Gorezone Magazine.
And Conan The Barbarian Magazine was another subscription I had.

Growing up my parents had subscriptions to magazines I loved to read- Twilight Zone Magazine, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction, National Geographic.

As a kid I loved to buy and read Mad, Cracked, Crazy, the lesser known Sick. My mom brought home (when she worked part time at a grocery store) Heavy Metal Magazine, Epic Illustrated (Marvel's answer to Heavy Metal), I can also remember reading horror comic magazines like Vampirella, Creepy, Eerie, Weird, Vampire.

When I was younger I remember that my parents got me Nickelodeon, WWF, Sports Illustrated for Kids, and National Geographic for Kids.

I'm no longer subscribed to any magazines. I used to get Cigar Aficionado a few years ago, but that was through a family friend's school and when she graduated I didn't get it anymore. I'm not sure how exactly it worked but if you ordered the magazine through the school they would get money.

The magazines that I buy today are for collectibles. I keep them in the original wrapper if it comes w/ one. Some of these are:

Lindsay Lohan's Playboy Cover
Hustler's 40th Anniv.
Caitlyn Jenner on Vanity Fair
Newsweek's Final Print Edition

when I was into model railroading I had subscriptions to MODEL RAILROADER and RAILROAD MODEL CRAFTSMAN.
And when I was into plastic modeling I had one to SCALE MODEL BUILDER.
I used to have subscriptions to TV GUIDE, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, BIOGRAPHY MAGAZINE and PEOPLE

Thanks for the response as it was nice to hear what your favorites are. I forgot about TV guides but I liked getting them at the store and plunking down the 25 or 30 cents

I use to buy the Soap Opera Weekly and Soap Opera Digest magazines. I haven't bought one in years too. And I loved viewing Playgirl mags back in the day....LOL

LaCrosse WI is a college town and when we would go Aluminum Can hunting (in the mid 70's) every once in a while we would find an adult magazine

7 ball christian rock music magazine!! i used to be subscriber but then they ripped me off!! i paid for 1 year subscription then i didn't get the magzan for 1 year!! then they went out of business!! i used to liked it cause it was more of the popular cccm christian rock bands! i also liked it cause they would send me an cd sampler with my magazine!!

I also got free book you can send different things & you get free stuff i think you might had to pay for shipping but it wasn't much money!!

In my pre teen years, I would read similar magazines. You were reading about Danielle Fishel and I was reading Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones of The Monkees and later David Cassidy. As for TV guide I stopped reading and buying the magazine shortly after they company changed from the small book to the large size. For magazine I read Tiger Beat and they might had "16" for the cost of around 35 to 50cents.
