Is there anything I can do to prevent my computer from turning itself off? It has turned itself off 3 times in 2 days. My computer is Windows 7. The last time it turned itself off it took a little while before I could get it to come back on. I tried turning off the power surge protector off and then back on.

True. Could also be your power cord if you are using one or your battery if you are using that. It could also be a bad circuit board. I would bring it to a technician soon if it continues. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. |

I have a desktop computer. The cpu stand. The power cord looks [from what i can see] and feels worn. I pulled it out a little. The cord may have been pressing up against the wall.
I wish my financial situation was better. I can't afford to buy a new computer. I would, if I had money to spare. Believe me, it's not me just being cheap. I am on a very fixed income.
