Default How do you think Chaim Weiss' killer was able to get in and out undetected?

One of the biggest questions about the Chaim Weiss case is how did the killer get in and out without being detected. If it was a student they would have had to do the killing and wash up and hide all the evidence without their roommate noticing them missing. All students had a roommate except Chaim and one other student. It would have been very hard for someone staying in the dorm to be able to do all that without leaving the building. If it was someone outside the form like a faculty member they would have to come to the dorm probably at 1am-4am in the morning and not be noticed doing anything suspicious.

My question is how do you guys think the killer was able to do all this and not draw any suspicion? To clean up the mess. Hide the weapon. Etc. Do you think the killer was sleeping in the dorm that night and left and came back? Do you think someone outside the dorm such as a faculty member came in through the broken side door that led to Chain's room? Or perhaps used a key? It just seems like this would take a lot of time to do. And most likely the killing took place between 1am-5am. Anybody outside during those hours would stand out. Trick or treaters usually done gone home by 10 pm. At least where I live at. Your thoughts?

I’ve always leaned toward it being a student or faculty member staying in the building. In makes the most sense as far as any motive.

As far as any cleanup required, I’m not certain that there would be much cleanup required for what happened. I have never heard of any blood spatter or anything like that. Only that the blood had pooled after some time. So there may not have been any cleanup. The only thing would be disposal of the murder weapon. But as I recall, it was never identified anyway so it could have been almost anything in plain sight in the building.

I've always thought that rabbi Cooper was behind this and to pull it off he had to have had some sort of help. If that's the case, he had everything all timed and mapped out. An anonymous stranger probably would have never succeeded without waking the whole school up first.

Just my 2 cents.

I wonder if Rabbi Cooper took a lie detector test. Not that I'm 100% sold on lie detector tests.

The question I'd want him asked if he was would be "Do you have information you haven't shared about the killing of Chiam?"

I'm not confident enough to say he did it, though I do have suspicions that lean that way.. But I certainly think he is the key to solving the case. If he didn't do it, I think he knows who did.

My gut is telling me he knows. He was approached outside his home several years ago by a TV reporter about Chaim and he was nervous as hell and walked away pretty fast.

I would love to know how Reb Zissel and that former student feel about this information. They never mentioned that they thought it could be a Rabbi. Or that they were aware Chaim was having issues in the summer of 1986.

Easy. It was a rabbi who killed Chaim because of a sexual abuse situation getting out of hand.

Perhaps Chaim was resisting or was going to reveal it to his family? That might explain the wall of silence after the boy's death and lack of cooperation.

I've had that hunch since I first watched the segment.
