That channel will change names probably 3-5 more times but will always be contracted to air The 700 Club.

I wondered originally if ABC could have discontinued the channel, while say keeping SoapNet and then re-branding that SoapNet channel into whatever it wants. Disney Jr. replaced SoapNet but not exactly. Anyways, such kind of move would have been a clever way to terminate their The 700 Club obligation, but I guess it would be challenged.

The only reason I watch Freeform is for the middle.

Here it is March now they are airring Home Alone.Where was it during the actual Holiday Season? To me Christmas Movies should start Thanksgiving and should end after Christmas Day.

The channel was probably at it's best when it was Fox Family imo.

When CBN launched in the 70's and rebranded itself The Family Channel in the 80's it was destined to have an image that set them apart and different from any other network by having high quality programming that families could watch together and so by having different shows that catered to every member of the family The Family Channel already had a plan to be successful in TV. And so with dramas like Rin Tin Tin K9 Cop and Snowy River The Mcgregor Saga and The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion The Family Channel knew what worked for them and by adding interesting stuff such as a cartoon block and game shows The Family Channel was on a roll. But I think what really hurt them was when FOX brought The Family Channel and when it was gonna be renamed Fox Family Channel to market the new channel's launch 20th Century Fox put previews on every single movie and I first heard of Fox Family Channel when I saw the commercial on my Anastasia video and when it finally debuted people were mad with anger that some of The Family Channel programming was gone but when I saw Fox Family Channel I noticed that the whole morning block was targeted at kids with cartoons and the only non cartoons that they had shown was the talk show Home And Family with Chuck Woolery and then added more cartoons and I couldn't see how this was different than The Family Channel. But Fox Family Channel added sitcoms and would market new celebrities and like Disney does turn celebrities into superstars. Take for instance when UK teen pop group S Club 7 got their start in America Fox Family Channel gave them their own sitcom S Club 7 In Miami and already S Club 7 were huge stars in the UK and they released hit after hit thanks to Fox Family. But when it was announced that ABC brought Fox Family Channel and renamed itself ABC Family I think it was geared to be what The Disney Channel used to be and having mostly family oriented shows and sitcoms but mainly played movies 24 hours a day. But if you look at when they renamed itself Freeform you'll see that Freeform is aimed at teens and mature adults and shows dramas aimed for mature teens like Pretty Little Liars and I can't see why Freeform is now attracting teens when it should be a family oriented channel. But there should be another family oriented channel to return to cable TV very soon
